This Rainwater Management Solutions' system was installed at Oscar Smith Middle School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The annual average rainfall is 45 inches and the system is set up to manage manage stormwater runoff in the sensitive Chesapeake Bay Watershed, while qualifying for LEED certification. The harvested rainwater is used to flush toilets and irrigate the grounds. Rainwater is harvested off of the 270,000 sq. ft. roof and pre-filtered with 9 self-cleaning Wisy WFF 300 filters. The water also passes through 9 Wisy floating coarse filters. The installed filters will never need replacing and using the vortex filters ensures the tank will never require cleaning.
